So, since MCA is, which Clans are in it?

At the moment, the MCA consists of the Badger, Dragonfly, Fox, Hare, Monkey (no family name, but they get the Toku family bonus), Ox (again no family name, but they get the Morito bonus and are still mostly Kolat at this time), Sparrow, and Tortoise.

Additionally, the MCA maintains generally friendly contact with the Empire's three ronin families - the Kaeru, Tsi, and Yotsu - on the off-chance that one or more of them may become full-fledged members themselves (likely as the Frog, Oriole, and Tiger clans, respectively). PC action may have an effect on this, and it will almost certainly come up during the Test of the Empress' Favored side story.

Yeah, the presence of a Kaeru at Topaz kind of put me in mind of opening up that development as a possibility. I won't say what it will take to get there (because the GM team hasn't even started discussing that yet), but it could happen.
